    Yes there are three books. The second one is really good but I didn't like the last one(I didn't even finish it). Read the second one, it's great!

    I'd second a lot of the suggestions in here, especially The Road, all of Margaret Atwood's dystopian books, but especially Oryx & Crake - if you liked Hand Maid's tale you will love that. Brave New World is very good. Don't write off 1984 if you haven't read it, I loved it. Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell is a good one - as are a few of his others like Number 9 Dream.

    It's more sci fi than dystopian but I would really recommend Dune as well. It has a similar vibe.
