^ further to the above post, setting SMART targets/goals, - specific, measurable, attainable (or appropriate), realistic (or relevant) and time bound. E.g. By the end of the year, I would like to Snatch 10kg more.

Everyone seems big on SMART goals, in school/college, work places etc.
    Nice.

All of these ideas are awesome!

I'm now looking to break the idea down into 3 sections. I want 3 main themes i can draw from where i then put everything else into one of them.

    Determination/Commitment
    -
    Consistency
    - Setting SMART Targets
    -Learning more about the training
    -Teaching others

    Competition
    Can show my planning/preparation.
    - Can network with other strength athletes
    -Handling large amounts of pressure.
-A good way of assessment of the training.

    Self Improvement/Overcoming setbacks?
    Dealing with injuries
    Dealing with bad performances
Self Reflection: Turning weaknesses into strengths
taking constructive critisicm and fixing it.

What do people think of my poor way of mashing them into 3 main themes?

    "Determination? Competitive spirit?

Stuff like Overcoming Adversity when i was injured and had to take a step back, reassess what i could and couldn't do and then slowly reintroduce the other things when my body was ready and then overtime making the slow/steady improvements until i beat my previous PBs.

People think of other good things about training over a few years and competitng and what it says about them?
Increase in confidence and self belief. The impact positive thinking can have, if you walk in with a can do attitude you will be much more likely to succeed.

    Quick update to this thread.

I used a lot of your ideas to make into a presentation on "what i'm passionate about" for a job interview last week.
I smashed the delivery in full alpha male style and got offered the job earlier today!
