    It depends on how much you rely on texting as communication as a pair... If you never text and did it, then it's a bit rubbish, if you text each other frequently then why not!

    Well we met online and for the first few days or so it was online chat and texting. Some would say it wasn't proper but we acknowledged that we were 'together' then and not only after we met. And he did ask me to marry him in text first before properly proposing in person.

    My relationship started by text. Didn't have a choice because well I'm in the army. I think it depends in the circumstances but it seems you've already made your kind up whether it does or not

    If you are 12 yrs old, yes. If you are a young adult/adult and actually looking for a serious relationship then no.
