    Yes I would.

Handgun to defend the house. I think america have the right idea with you can use whatever force necessary when it comes to defending your property

Depends on the cost: Iphones are legal and I don't own one.

If it got to the stage where I needed one for my own safety, then yes.
Otherwise, probably not. Mainly because I don't like shooting people. That and being left-handed and right-eyed makes aiming a b***h.

For all practical purposes they are not. Try buying a handgun and tell me how far you get
Handguns can be bought in the UK. Vets, Farmers and Professional Deer stalkers my own them.

Not in the UK,which most people on this site live in.
Wrong. You can own a shotgun without any reason. You can own a rifle to be used for hunting and target shooting. And a handgun (see above).

I would because if everyone else had easy access to firearms, I would want one to level the playing field, although I would be responsible.

My household currently holds two firearms. Both used by my father for hunting.

Same, my father uses the firearms to go hunting every weekend; he likes to bring back a pheasant or two, with the occasional deer or kangaroo thrown in for extras
    I think you mean shooting.
To hunt, one needs horses and hounds.

This is the ideal firearm to own. A combination gun. One barrel is a 20 bore shotgun the other is 7x65 caliber rifle. It has the best of both long range and short.

Maybe. It would be good to have some means of self defence.

If it was cheap to buy and maintain, yes

I'd have it stored away though

Being an army cadet I know I'm a crap shot so it would be pointless. I'll stick with a bow and arrow.

There are loopholes. I think you have to have a licence but they are legal
