Do you think this is a good plan?:

    - buy an iPhone 5s/5c for a month (on pay as you go or a 30-day contract or something)
    - if I like it, I will keep the phone, but get a cheaper contract when the iPhone 6 comes out
    - if I don't like it, I will consider one of the other phones (such as HTC One M8, Sony Xperia Z2...)

Fair enough. I'd definitely look into those other phones before you make any decisions. What do you want from your phone btw?
I want it to be fast - it doesn't have to be the fastest phone in the world, but fast.
I want it to look nice and have good design, so that I'm not dropping it every five minutes.
I want a good battery life - with normal usage I would like it to run for 12 hours at least.
I want decent apps on its App Store.
I want it to be reasonably simple to handle.
I want it to have good memory space.
I want it to have good camera features.

Extreme use like me... Bad. I imagine it's the same for all teenagers, so if you're one: expect the same.

Have you tried the amazons basics charger? They're really good and cheaper than apple ones.

No I haven't, but fortunately I'm still in my warranty period so I get free replacements

    Hi there.

I am getting a new phone soon. I am thinking about getting an iPhone and I was wondering:

    -Are iPhones reliable?

-What is the difference between a 5c and 5s?

    -Are they good all-round phones?
    -with good camera features?
    -with good memory space?
    -with a good battery life?

-Any other helpful comments to help me decide whether it is worth getting an iPhone 5c or an iPhone 5s.

    Thank you in advance!

yes - I adore my 5s, it's only frozen on me once in 4 months

as people have said. A 5c is basically a 5 but with a plastic shell.

    yes.

yeah, my camera is way better than what I had on my old phone (htc one x) it's something to do with the camera technology that Apple uses.

um, I struggle a bit with memory on mine (16gb) but thats purely because I have 7gb of music on it (must. get. ipod. fixed) I dont have many apps, it depends what you use it for.

yeah, the battery life is way better than my old phone. I can get over a day pretty easily between charges, plus it charges way quicker than my old phone did. Like 2 hours to go from 1% to 100% which is amazing.

I was questioning whether or not to get one before I bought mine and I dont regret it, at all. Its just good and I love it.
