I am amused by how this is in "everyday issues", though.

I mean like not just in terms of what you would buy but also would you stay in education? Would you ever get a job? I'm talking if you won £30 million for example. Also would you keep all the money, giver some to charity or give some to family and friends? what would YOU do?
£30 million. Put it in a savers account, say 2% interest per year => earnings of £600k pa, which is of course a very good salary. I would still finish my degree and would work though, because I would need to keep myself occupied!

£3 million each to mum and dad, then go and buy myself a McLaren MP4-12C, small aircraft and a large house with a private runway.
I reckon I'd give around £1 or 2 million to charities, namely the RSPCA and some others. After that, host a large party at my house with just close friends and pay for deadmau5 to come and play for us.

The rest would be invested into businesses and I'd probably go on a scuba diving holiday in the Pacific. Relatives wouldn't get millions, they'd get just enough to sort out financial problems and that'd be it.

Oh and of course, I'd go out and buy the largest bottle of Grey Goose I could find.

Give some to my family. Go travelling around the world. Buy a small farm and probably go study agriculture. Run a small farm and open a microbrewery.

I would go to the USA to spend 6 months really learning how to fly to airline standards. Then I would buy a plane - specifically a TBM 900. Then I would be happy.
