    Sorry. I'm not very good at articulating myself. I mean, if I decide to do Egyptology then I would love to apply to Cambridge as its course looks amazing and I would love to study there! But obviously, I need top grades to apply.

    If you apply to Cambridge but don't get in, are you prepared to study the same subject at another university? If the answer is no, you can't be passionate about it.

    Yes. However, I would be worried about employment prospects and would probably do further study. But to be honest, I would do the same if I managed to get into Cambridge.
