Not to me. Way too early, I don't want to be restricted early on.
If you are saying a relationship is restrictive then you haven't met the right person.

OP I think it's less about being restricted and more about not knowing the person you are about to move in with. You might not be compatible as live-in partners and there's higher risk if you've only just started going out and don't know their bad/grumpy/smelly sides.

Just to add, I moved in with my current partner when I was 21 and all is fine and dandy but I was also living with him as a friend before we got together so I knew what it was going to be like living with him.

21 is not too young. You are adults. Most would have graduated and started getting their own incomes. Whether it's right for you is based on your own values.

If you're responsible 21 is OK. Around here there's nothing like "halls" in which unis have to provide accommodation to students so many student couples move in together at 18-19 if they study in the same city.

How long have you been together? If you feel the time is right, then sure go for it. Do you have a place already sorted out? How will you be paying for rent and food if you're a student and does she have a job lined up if she's relocating? Do you have a job that can cover expenses for both of you? Sorry for the questions, but you don't want to rush into things if you can't manage if you know what I mean? It is perfectly normal to move in at 21 though, if you got things under control, go for it!
Thanks for your reply yeah we have a place sorted and we're going to split the bills 50/50. She's been saving for a while so has enough money to last for sure before she can find a job. I get money from parents as well as student finance so we have the money aspect covered but we've been together for 10 months and it will be over a year before she moves here. We plan on going traveling around Asia during the summer so it will be a good way to see if being together for so long works. We spent everyday together for a month last summer and it seems to work well thanks for your help

Hey, he's just saying they want to live together, not that they will immediately get married or have children etc... seems pretty normal to me, it can happen at 21 or 35, and it isn't for sure something irreversible.

I would have been too young at 21, I have changed beyond belief since then. But not everyone is the same! It all depends on your relationship, its dynamics and your maturity.

As long as your happy and safe I personally don't see an issue with living together at that age
I agree! As long as you have your financial stuff sorted out, it shouldn't be an issue!

Nah I wouldn't say that's too young. Me and my bf moved in together when we were 18 and 19 and 5 yrs on, we are still living happily together in our own flat. As long as you are both up for it and understand what's involved while living together, it shouldn't be a problem
