I've been to both Townley's and BGS's induction day and tbh I thought it was alright. Although I didn't like how BGS organised the induction day this year for the A level students. Personally I would've liked taster lessons, coz that way if I didn't like how the topic turned out to be I could've changed it before even entering the course. Also I wanted to see their teaching style, but anywho, the overall atmosphere of the school was cool.

Townley's was more what I wanted tbh. They had taster lessons and even taught us some of the stuff in the lesson to give us a taste of the "easy" part of the topics. It was okay, I guess. I'm still unsure as to what school I wanna go to. Although I do wish I'd applied to Dartford boy coz everyone's raving about how awesome the school is.

Which ones did you go to??

went to bexley grammar's induction for ib. thought they were friendly and it seems like a good place to have a good social life lol but not necessarily the best for teaching.

went to dartford grammar school's (boys) 3 day induction which was probably the best for me. it was long but it was also fun and the taster lessons gave me a good feeling that the teaching is good there.

went to townley's induction (which i went to yr 7 to 11). probs 2nd best. they tried too hard with the 'fashion show' though lol

I know I heard TT_TT I wish I'd applied there, but I'm also glad I didn't coz I'm not too keen on doing IB...but I still wish I'd applied, at least, for the sake of it >_<

Does that mean you're set on doing IB?

GO BGS!! (bexley Grammar), i go bgs (im in yr11 going into yr12, just finished GCSE's) and the school is honestly really good. I admit that the induction day was a bit "meh" but i heard they wanted to be different this year hence why they didn't do the traditional "taster classes" as per usual. On the whole, it is the 7th best school in the country at sending people to university...and this year, the current year 11's (my year) are predicted to set records on our GCSE results which should be good. Can't wait until they post the league table results.

Hello, does anyone know anything about these two schools and how strict they are on their admissions including conditional offers? I know Townley like you to take a test in certain subjects and I have one in maths next week however, I'm not sure if I'd be able to receive a conditional offer or not because my predicted grades are below their requirements.
when did u get your letter ?
