WALKING TO WHERE YOU NEED TO GO DOES NOT COUNT AS EXERCISE!!!

    I exercise 9 hours a week.
Why not?? What's the difference between someone walking for half an hour to get to school, and someone walking for half an hour for no reason at all. Surely the benefits to the body are the same.

Nope, never. I walk relatively quickly for about 4km-ish a day because of school but that's it.

Actually it does. Anything that raises your heartbeat is exercise. Obviously it depends what speed you go to as to whether that happens. If you walk at the pace of a snail nothing will happen, but I deliberately walk at a fast pace to the bus in a morning (c. 10 mins) and by the time I get there my heart is pumping and I need to take my coat off as I'm sweating, so to me it's exercise. I sometimes also do a fast walk at lunch at work. It's better than nothing if I can't fit anything else in.

But obviously the more the better

The most exercise I ever do is walking to the fridge and toilet. Trying to change that though as exercise would probably help me reduce some stress but it's finding the motivation that's the hard part
