Why can't men get pregnant? Do you think that in our lifetime, science will be able to make men have babies if they wanted? That would mean, removing the penis, and replacing it with an artificial female reproductive system - which shouldn't be hard to make. It's basically just a sac of fluid like and engine like that found in car...

    I'd do it.

Obviously because they have no uterus or ovaries. Do you even GCSE science?

Even if science was to advance enough to stick a uterus, vagina and ovaries in there, the procedure would likely fail anyway. Bit too complex a system to just whack the necessary bits in there and produce a baby.

By the time we can make a man pregnant, we wouldn't need pregnancy to produce babies, just lab equipment- I guess that you could be pregnant as a man at that time by replacing your lower body with the same sort of biochemical workshop we'd have externally.

Why even bother putting the equipment inside the man's abdomen? Couldn't he have it in a kind of protected backpack, with (possibly detachable) tubes connecting it to his blood and food supply?

You could have 'night packs', which you attach the baby to when you want to go to sleep, and they have enough nutrition to sustain it until the morning.
