I have a place at my dream uni and I'll hate myself forevermore if I don't get in!
    Also, personal pride.
Also, my teachers would stab me if I got less than A*AAA.
All of these reasons for me too. (Same uni as me right?)

So I don't find myself in the situation that so many of my current Year 13 friends found themselves in, devastated and disappointed by AS results that stopped some of them applying to university.

That and the fact I've already got a reputation within my family for 'being the clever one who is going to be a doctor' (first generation university applicant) and I can't face letting them down by messing it up by not revising.

Imagining my parent's smile in ten years time (or less) when I give them my first paycheck. I owe them everything.

Not wanting to disappoint my family or my principal (she's fab, seriously) - who both think that I can get the JP McManus scholarship (which is awarded to the top achieving A level students in NI from low income families. I think there's only around 10 available - for the whole country. Quite a lot of pressure!)
