When did this become about equality? there's a real living person who has come here for help and you're starting a debate, and worse using her boyfriend as some scapegoat for your rambling.(Original post by JackBlack)
actually, you're wrong. Her boyfriend keeps bringing it to her attention that she has no makeup/jewelry on . When it's getting to the point where it bothers this girl to the point where she might be considering wearing it just to please him - that's what worries me. Im sorry for believing in equality. Wait- no im not, and I will not be silenced.
Op, please ignore this poster. If it does upset you what your boyfriend is saying, then you should talk to him about it. He's doesnt sound like some villain as the above poster makes out.
Men..does lack of make up and jewellery really bother you? Watch

Do what you feel comfortable with. If you do feel "bad" for it, then you could try explaining to him why you'd rather not wear heels/makeup?
Someone once told me that I needed makeup to look good, and that really hurt. Just don't let him hurt your feelings or anything.

I'd prefer it in fact. Makeup in particular seems like a huge waste of time.

Its interesting really, I actually believe most men prefer women without makeup. Makes me wonder why makeup even exists if thats the case, I guess its more for self confidence to make oneself feel prettier but its obviously misguided in some way if people do not actually find it more attractive.
