If you really like her and don't plan to... eff around with her, then I'd say go for it.

I know but what I'm saying is the actual gap itself isn't an issue maybe wait until she is a bit older, you might not feel the same way about her, hope this helps

Girl is 14 this year, I'll be 17 in December.

Is this okay? Or even legal?
That is absolutely not okay. Wouldn't want my sister get involved with a guy that much other when she is just 14.

Legal or not, I find it extremely off putting you'd want to go out with a 14 year old regardless. In your 20s and onward it might not matter, but there are huge differences in maturity between early teens and mid-late teens.

Well, don't do anything sexual because that's illegal.

But I am in a relationship with a large age gap (although I was 17 when I met him) and a friend of mine met her boyfriend when she was 15 and he was 19 and they've been together for a good six years and are really happy and committed, etc, so I can't really judge you too negatively.

It may work out, it may not, but no sex before she's 16.

I'd stay away she's a kid. It's illegal, she's not even 16 yet unless you want to get charged with statutory rape, I would leave her to enjoy her childhood. At 14 you think you can handle stuff but it just messes with you down the line.
