    That's what I keep reminding him; we both will meet a lot of new people and it is entirely possible either of us will fall for someone else. Obviously neither of us think we will but its stupid to think it definitely won't happen.

    I think a promise ring type thing would be a good half-way point. We promise we'll stay together but we know we aren't going to get in too deep, if that makes sense?

    I'm not scared of committing to him and our relationship, but I know that getting engaged at the age of 19 won't end well.

    You don't need a ring to show that you're together. Tell him that you are committed, even without having him propose, let him know that you would rather wait until you're older.

    My boyfriend and I have been long distance for almost four years and our commitment couldn't be stronger. It's not about rings or public announcements to family and friends; it's about how you feel about each other.

    Above all, stay true to yourself and tell him how you feel.
