    I've got 1A*, 1A, 6B's, 1C and a D.
    I'm predicted to get 4A's, 4B's, and 2 C's.

Will I still be able to do well with these?
My depression/anxiety got the better of me during the mock week and I was too anxious to do anything. Its sorted now but I feel like I've got really bad grades so there's not much of a point to continue with this. People say that gcses are easy so if I'm getting low levels then I must be dumb.
Already cant do my dream job. (mechanical engineering) because of my C in physics and B in maths (I'm 'on target' apparently).
GCSEs are not easy. Don't listen to the people that say they are especially if they say they are online.

Why is your C in Physics and B in maths stopping you from doing Mechanical Engineering? Surely your future A-Levels will be much more important. If you're really that concerned can you not resit? Don't ever give up. You still have time to improve your grades and they aren't too bad anyway. You do get the special group of TSR members that think people without 12 A*'s are utter worthless pieces of crap sometimes but you just need to ignore them. They're just pompous trolls.

Keep on giving it your best and I am positive you will become a Mechanical Engineer one day

On a side note, this is my 200th post.

Hey, I was predicted 10 A's, 2 A* (one of which was a system mistake that our school refused to correct :/ My grade in the subject was had been a C at the time and my target was changed from a B to an A*.).

    Here are my target grades:
AA AA AAA (English, Maths, Science)
    A*A*AA (History, Art, French, Music)
    A (R.E)

    Here are my mock grades:
BC AC ABB (English, Maths, Science)
    B B A* D (History, Art, French, Music)
    A (R.E)

More recent practice paper grades have been:
    AA AB ABB
    B B(2 marks from an A) A* ?
    A

So no, you didn't do badly.

Anyway, I hope your GCSEs are going well!

You're not dumb bc you got those results, and there's plenty of time to turn things around.

You have a C in Physics but if you sit down with the specification and make notes on the whole thing then learn it all really well youd be surprised at how much that can bring up a grade. I know physics is confusing but its good because if you learn the spec off by heart theres only so wrong you can go.

As for maths do loads and loads of past papers. Tbh if you want higher grades in any subject just make sure you know the specifications really well because whilst its hard to do, if you know everything on it youre basically guaranteed an A*
