Fiction is just fiction, and it can be really messed up. It's very unlikely to even be a reflection of the writer's character, let alone anything else. I should know - I'm a shy person who feels horrified if I so much as accidentally step on someone's foot, and I have written some very dark stuff (though not porn).

Now, I don't know what it means that people seem to like my dark work the best, but I guess people like creepy stuff, just like they enjoy the thrill of a roller-coaster ride - you get to have certain experiences in a safe environment. Even if just mentally. It's the paradox of painful art.

The key there is that those things people experience through fiction of a darker nature tend to be things that they would never, ever do in real life. Those girls fantasising about that stalkerish vampire in Twilight would completely freak out if they met a guy like that in real life. Same as they'd run a mile from a stalkerish control freak who'd only want to be with them if they become his slave, like with the character from 50 Shades. Or the vast majority would, anyway.

My advice would be to focus on films, series and reading material that cheer you up. That may be easier said than done, I know, but when I was in a dark place mentally, it really helped. You can train your thoughts to go in the direction you want them to. It takes time, and it takes practice, but it's worth it.

OP should probably stop trying to learn life lessons from fictional porn storys and switch off the computer.

    Read some Lovecraft
Lovecraft distresses me in a fun, enlightening way, this particular website is 40% responsible for the destruction of my last relationship. Soo that's why it's upsetting

Ah yes because in the real world odds are your gym instructor is a hot dominatrix, sabotaging your efforts and planning to steal your husband so that she can taunt you with the evidence.

Must admit your posts give me a good laugh

It's the thought that counts . I'm glad you liked my post, and I hope that it's somewhat helpful.

my gym instructor is a hot dominatrix, and sadly I reckon she could steal the hubbies of a fair few of the women in that place (assuming people are really so shallow and morally absent)

but that's sort of acceptable if she's hot and successful isn't it (going back to my earlier thread). The attraction is amoral principle comes into play
It's not. It's never acceptable to treat others like they're a piece of ****. It doesn't matter if you're the president or the toilet cleaner, everyone deserves to be treated with respect!

I truly live by this as well. Once a lecturer thought he'd be disrespectful to my class and I reported him. I will be treated with respect. End of.

What? I'm asking why you constantly expose yourself to your triggers.

If the story is really real, I'd love to meet that personal trainer and give her the magic pill Well, turns out the wife deserves a better man, a man who doesn't leave his love for someone who might look better but a total biatch who deserves to rot alone in the mountains.. Oh well, mr and mrs biatch finally met each other

I don't think this is very common case in reality apart from very few ones that occur. Mr is too stupid to realise that beauty is temporary and what he got is a model for several years but biatch for the rest of the life. Ex-wife should not give up and just brighten life for herself and show both mr and mrs B that she's far better than those two.

If I'd ever date a chubby guy, I would not throw him away like a trash for a fit one, I'm not going that low

sort of exposure therapy, I'm hoping that one day I will stop being scared of the idea that all of these scenarios are possible, but the problem is that during times of high stress when this becomes compulsive the lines between fantasy exposure and reality blur. This is what happened with the

I have no idea what that debacle is. I tend to avoid all threads of said person. You're not in a relationship at the moment right? How old are you again?
