Thanks ! Do you know if lectures and studying that isnt placement will be on the main campus or near the hospital?
(Original post by Plymouth University)
Hi,

All of our halls are suitable as they are either on campus or within walking distance with very good bus links to the Hospital from around the city.

When you apply, Nursing students will be able to select a 51 week contract or Semester Only contracts. Please note if you sign up for a 51 week contract, students are responsible for paying for the full 51 weeks. You may wish to select a Semester Only contract in case your placements are not in Plymouth.

Kind Regards

When can Child Health Nursing applicants expect to hear back after interviews?
Hello Natalie,
I've just spoken to the tutor and all applicants should expect to hear back by the end of next week.
I hope this helps,
Matt

Hi Jesskya,
Child nursing lectures, are based on campus however if you do need to go to the hospital, you can show your student ID card for free transport on the buses to the hospital.

Kind regards

Hi,

Mimi , we do not have specific halls for med students but all of them would suitable as they are either on campus or within walking distance. There are very good bus links to Derriford Hospital and if you show your student card you will get free travel between the main University campus and Peninsula Medical School which is near the hospital.

Kind Regards

Hi,

This will be something you will have to discuss with your tutor when you begin the course, depending on the placement you apply for. The only free travel I am aware of is the free bus between the city centre campus and Derriford Hospital.

Best Wishes,

Ellie

Hi Fiona,

It really varies from student to student, but the table below shows an average amount:

Me personally, after paying rent I don't have many outgoings, just socialising once or twice a week and food shopping which adds up to no more than £40-50 p/w, but a lot of my friends spend less.

I hope this helps!
