To the lefties saying that the 37% is not a majority - why weren't you complaining about 2005's result? Hypocrites.

    2005 - LABOUR MAJORITY - 35% - 355 seats
    2015 - CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY - 37% - 331 seats

Democracy when it suits them, protesting when it doesn't. They are acting like ****ing children throwing their toys out the pram because they didn't get what they want.

Nope. Not at all (see display pic).

In every protest, there are idiots who take part merely to get carried away. They're the heroes of right-wing media, as reporters can zero in on them to discredit the protest and ignore the thousands of sensible protesters and the cause they're fighting for.

I flicked through the major papers and was not disappointed.

Tbh the reaction from left wingers on here has been just as bad. Broad generalizations about Tory voters and all this pathetic pandering to the supposed moral high ground.

Just wondering, what would have happened if they had started to try and climb the fence and get into Downing Street proper...? I find it hard to believe that the police would've fired warning shots, but would they have had much of a choice?

Yes. It just happens in this particular protest that it's all of them.

Don't get the vote they want so become violent. This isn't how democracy works, protest peacefully or **** off.

Yes, how idiotic, showing anger that a party who used fear tactics to get back into power through an unfair voting system will soon be penalising the poor and vulnerable once again.

    So very idiotic.

    Quite.

Going out the day after an election and campaigning (a) against the election result and (b) for 'democracy' at the same time makes you a moron.

Not when the election system is as painfully broken as ours, and there's no such thing as fair representation.

Broken because you didn't get the result you wanted?

Yes I'm sure had our 'broken' system of the person with the most votes in an area getting to represent that area in Parliament (which is apparently self-evidently ludicrous) produced the opposite result they'd be out there making it plain that this is unacceptable.

What you mean by 'there's no such thing as fair representation' is 'the people I wanted to be in charge aren't in charge'.

These guys are so lucky this is not american police...
If it were, these protestors would have gotten destroyed. Police would have turned up in full riot gear, with guns and a MRAP in the back. They would have been beaten with batons, peper sprayed, tear gassed, flash banged, tasered, shot with rubber bullets.

Full respect for the UK police for handling the protest with just wearing normal police uniform with a bright colored jacket, armed with only batons, being completely overwhelmed as they were.

Conservatives won and were elected democratically. Like him or not, you have to deal with it. They've been elected by the majority of people, making him legitimate. Labour lost because everyone knew that they can only win if they join SNP. Alot of people in England were not gonna have it and are against the SNP.Whats the best way to keep SNP out? voting conservatives...

Also, everyone knew that labour were not gonna hold on to their seats in scotland, especially due to the rise of the SNP. I saw this coming a mile off, all these people saying it will be neck and neck was just bull. This was not rigged... stop being in denial... just look at the facts and figures and it all makes sense.

And why deface the WW2 memorial? why do that? that has nothing to do with you all. That is a piece of history and should be protected, not vandalized. Protest all you want but don't harm monuments which have historical importance...

Never understood why people do that... I remember watching that video of ISIS destroying old statues and historical artifacts in the museums... I died inside watching that...
