    i also found k=4.08 and for the second part i wrote (R-2k)i and R is the range of the projectile,then i found R but i dont remember it now

    I did the IAL M2 today and about the center of mass question the correct method is to treat the triangular framework (without the individual masses) as a 'framework' by multiplying the 'lengths' of the rods 5a, 4a, 3a by their centers and THEN finding the center of mass of the triangular framework and the two masses by multiplying the 'masses' of the three (The two masses+framework) by their centers,

    AND the wrong method is to treat the whole System 'S' as masses only and find the center of mass.

    However if u do either methods the difference between angles will be 2 degrees.

    Wrong method (Treating all as masses) gives --> 36 degrees.
    Correct method (Treating triangle as framework then as masses) gives --> 38 degrees.

    I don't know if the examiner will treat this slight difference as a major mistake or not.

    Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

    I unfortunately used the wrong method in the exam I hope to lose 2 to 3 marks Max...
