A few months ago my sister and I were taking a massive wardrobe down our stairs when our 2yo nephew decided to start climbing up the stairs. Both of us got to the point where we had no strength left in us to keep holding it and we were on the verge of just dropping it. If we had done that then it would have crushed our nephew and instantly killed him. I had to think/act quick to save his life so I kicked him lightly to push him off the stairs. He didn't hurt himself but he was shocked enough to burst into tears. I felt so ****. I was terrified that the wardrobe would crush him and it would be my fault, then when I had to push him off the stairs I was even more terrified of hurting him. I never felt so **** scared in my life. The kid's life was in actual real danger and I was the only one who could save him. I have bipolar and tend to suffer delusions that can sometimes make me afraid/anxious and suicidal, but that's nothing compared to this.
Bloody hell, mate. I have to admit, you have guts. That kid will be in your debt for life.

When Oblivion at Alton Towers broke down with me on it. It broke down just before the plunge, so the view was pretty scary :erm:
    Oh dear.

When I was about 4 or 5 we were at a sea life centre. I was standing right in front of this huge tank just watching all the fish swimming, and all of a sudden this HUGE mother****ing eye just appeared right in front of me, so I stepped back a few feet and there was a 30ft whale swimming right up to the glass  Holy **** I almost had a heart attack, I now have what's called megalohydrothalassophobia which is a fear of big things in water. If I was swimming in the sea and encountered a while or something big like that I'd probably pass out from the fear and drown

When my dad died and I had to call the ambulance while people around me were panic screaming. I had to check for vitals and show my brother how to do CPR...the whole time I knew it was useless as he was already cold but I had to keep going.

It's the scariest thing I've experienced so far, I'd never experienced death before this
That must have been an awful experience to go through, can't even begin to understand how that must have been, so all I can say is, I'm sorry to read you had to go through that

When my mother died. The shock is numbingly terrifying: the feeling that things cannot possibly go on. For a child a life without a Mum is almost paradoxical.
Same here. I'm sorry for your loss.

The adrenaline that went thru me at that point tho. :s

When I was 7, I was cornered in the bathroom by this tall old kid - must have been 17 or so (the school was one large building for all years). I had shown him the middle finger a few days earlier and ran off, but he must have remembered my face. :erm:

He grabbed me, threatened to drown me in the bathroom, all the while swearing and beating me.

I thought I was going to get my ass killed that day, holy f***. Since then I've been afraid of all the older teenagers and wouldn't even want to walk to class alone for the next two years.
Ahahaha XD 2 year recovery time, pain :P
