    squats and deadlifts! working at ~70% of your 1RM in sets of 8-12 is best for hypertrophy. There are some good programmes which incorporate a progressive overload whilst varying volume which will increase strength and size at the same time - google wendler's 5/3/1 with the Boring but Big assistance programme as a good starting pt.

    some good assistance moves are GHD for posterior chain, good mornings, rack pulls, Romanian deadlifts, a mix of conventional and sumo deadlifts, deficit deadlifts, partial overloaded squats, front squats, pistols, bulgarian split squats
