Why don't we place migrants in the homes of people who want them here? watch

People who say 'I'd let a migrant stay in my home' aren't thinking it through. Would they have the same attitude towards a stranger on the street whom they knew nothing about? So how about a stranger from a foreign land, completely different culture and may not even speak English? These people could have been convicted of any kind of crime back home, hold all sorts of beliefs that contradict our British values, and you wouldn't know.
The lefties deserve the consequences of their actions, never feel sorry for them as 99.9% of their problems are a result of their lack of competence

Nope. Many of the "homeless" have mental illnesses which makes it extremely difficult to house them. It's due to the government you voted in, whose making cuts to NHS mental health services. That waiting list is for council housing not temporary accommodation, once again the government you voted in deliberately does not want adequate council housing but a private sector and high home ownership level.
    I didn't vote for them.
Ngl your entire post is a load of rubbish lmao. 'mental illnesses' lol.

    (Original post by Novascope)
That's you. But there are plenty of people who made no effort to help the homeless or even care. But now foreigners are a "threat" to them, they suddenly wanna care about our homeless lmao. It's pathetic.

Also I was just about to reply to your first post before you replied to me:

It's not the migrants fault though that our government isn't dealing with the homeless. It's the governments fault duh. Also Bill_Gates was right, a lot of Brits don't have any drive in comparison to other europeans. A lot here have the mentality that things need to be handed on a plate to them. Like they think they should get things automatically for some reason.
Ye I don't like our government and I agree it's their fault. I also don't like how many disabled people are dying because of them.

I just find it funny how people wanna complain about "lefties" and how we shouldn't take in more migrants, rather take care of the homeless, yet they voted for a party who don't give two ****s about the homeless or basically anyone who isn't middle or upper class haha.

Not sure I agree with that at all. The Brits put in more hours work than practically every other European nation. They are much more driven than most Europeans who sit around being spoon fed by their nanny states while working 35 hours a week.

If you want them here, they should be accomodated in the homes of yourselves personally. You should display tolerance and fairness to these people, like you ask the working class to do until they hang themselves and their communities put up their own funeral parlours.

Lets see these people been told they habe no choice or freedoms but to accept this circumstance, see how fair it feels.
Why don't Catholics provide homes for all the foetuses that are aborted? Its around 200,000 per year in Britain.

You made no reply to it? LOL glad i'm intellectually superior to you. Enjoy your decline, put plenty of blame on others. But everything s already for sale.

We need at least 1 million refugees here to make up for the POOR work ethic.

Lmao, funny you say that when there's so many people in this country on benefits... Also there are so many migrants who come here and are willing to work more hours than their Brit counterpart.

You just made up a bunch of BS lmao. How can I reply to that? Stating homeless people aren't getting houses because they're mentally ill lol. Alot of the people in homeless and domestic refuges are just normal people who've had bad luck. It's because the need for houses is so high and the government don't give a **** about them lmao.

Yep, I agree! I support the refugees entering the country. I agree that if the state is not able to provide them for accomodation, British people should. I would happily accomodate some needy refugees if they needed.

Sure, there are lots of people on benefits. There are lots of dossers living off the state all over Europe. But I'd say that the Brits are comparatively speaking more driven than many of their European counterparts. Full time working hours for a Brit is 42.7/week. That's higher than every other country apart from Austria (at 43.7/week)

Take all of the able working benefit scroungers who refuse to work, kick them out of the country and replace them with foreigners willing and able to work. Problem sorted

That's not true at all. I've worked with the homeless for years in different parts of the world - I started out doing mobile soup kitchens at "Crisis at Christmas" in London back years ago. Since then I've worked all over ( even working with street kids in Guatemala city) I'm not a trained mental healthcare worker or social worker but I've been involved with enough to know that homelessness and mental health issues tend to go together hand in hand. You go downtown Vancouver - hundreds of homeless; estimated 90% are suffering from some form of mental health issue.

There's a lot of argument about cause and effect but the fact is that you can't credibly argue that these are just normal people down on their luck. Look at this....> 50% of homeless in Vancouver suffer from schizophrenia

Yes but thats not the reason they're not being given homes. No ones going 'eeey mate you look depressed therefore I'm putting you right at the back 2 years on the waiting list'.

If you kick all of the lazy entitled Brits out of social housing and replace them with hardworking migrants the UK would be a much better country. The problem is with the attitude of spoilt Brits and a generation of baby bloomers who had everything handed to them on a plate. This attitude is being passed down and its mostly Brits who are the problem.

And yet British workers are far less productive. That's because we are ideologically wedded to work for its own sake: the Arbeit macht frei ideology, as I call it. Working less hours increases productivity per hour, that is a simple empirical fact.

That means two people doing 35 hours can both produce more stuff and get more than half the wage of one person doing 70 hours.

In this country we have people working 70 hours, massively overstressed, without time to think about anything else, have a social life or be well disposed to other people, and other people working 0 hours, pushed from pillar to post and persecuted by the former group who are jealous.

One sees how the Protestant work ethic is a welcome tool for those at the top to divide and control society. The euphemistic term is to say Britain is "business-friendly".

Please be aware people we are talking about migrants and not illegal immigrants. The problem is not they are using the NHS and government funding the true issue is that they are not paying their fair share if they are not working. Suggestion get unemployed British people who are skilled / educated but unable to find work for whatever reason (eg lack of experience) pay them to help educate the migrants about England and how the employment system works(many unemployed people could teach English or help migrants fill in job applications etc and get all their details registered for NHS etc) (many migrants do have skills and are educated at least to some degree) and get them into jobs as soon as possible. The sooner they are in job the sooner they are earning money and contributing to British society. Reduces the unemployment in migrants and British people. Migrants come here to start a new safer life (assuming you are talking about all the refugees) and that includes them getting a job. The housing issue needs a temporary solution until the migrants can be fully incorporated into society. This of course does not include educated migrants who come her because they already have a job lined up. Only a suggestion.

Everything is good that you said, but awfully condescending that migrants need to be taught by unemployed peope how getting a job and wage works. These people aren't subclass neanderthals. They also used to have jobs and pay taxes.

Ikr it's a bit churlish of God to say abortion is bad but not make space in heaven for dead babies on the grounds of original sin.

Thicko Christians have always thought charity is better than taxation because then they can impose conditionality based on Christian "morals" on those receiving charity, as happened so egregiously in the Victorian era before the present welfare state. However even when religion was big Christians figured out nothing meaningful could be done without a centralised system of tax and spend, hence the tithe, and its corollary, original sin, which ensures baptism at birth.

    Lol that's funny.

I don't think a lot of people WANT them here, rather they have no problem if they were to come here. When will people realise that the UK is taking in the least amount of people in Europe? Classic example of the media brainwashing you into disliking people who've done nothing wrong.

Also what kinds of migrants are you talking about? What's wrong with legal migrants, or refugees? If you're referring to illegal immigrants, I've yet to hear someone defend illegal immigrants coming here, so this post wouldn't make sense.

P.S, I find it funny how a lot of people are only now caring about the country's homeless since the refugee crisis lmao. Where was their empathy before?
The UK is taking around 350k people net migration from within the EU alone each year ironically from countries that are against taking in these economic migrants.

Secondly the UK has a MASSIVE population compared to other EU countries apart from France and Germany who have countries, land space and resources that DWARF the UK

The people are sick of immigration because it is THEY that bear the brunt of it.

    Higher house prices / rents
    Suppressed wages
    Harder to get a job
On the frontline of the lack of social cohesion (Please see the two black people venting at muslims on london bussess last week) Terrorism and so on
    Longer waiting times for Healthcare

People are absolutely sick of it and it has nothing to do with media propaganda (Majority of which is pro immigration anyway)
