See, I know I'm being naïve when I say this, but I don't really want alternative options. I'm not the sort of person to assume that things are going to go wrong as I sort of use it as an excuse to not work as hard. Having said that, I know that she's giving sound advice because it's based on personal experience (she wanted to be a singer; it didn't work out).

I did get **** for it, yeah. But it worked in my favour - I just studied instead of making friends and at the end of the two years I got better GCSEs than all of them It's fine now, though. I don't get teased any more, but I only have a handful of friends (more like friendly acquaintances tbh).
Atleast it taught you independence and discipline right? :/
But see now you're gonna go chase your dreams and they're stuck doing A-levels/GCSEs in the new system ;3
