    Most history courses only require an A level in history. Other useful subjects would be english lit, politics, philosophy, economics, philosophy and ethics.

    Sociology would go well alongside History because essentially you are learning about different societies through time.
    I take AS Philosophy and Ethics and I find that really dull although if you like it go ahead
