He actually does a great job in playing villains but he played Bane in TDKR if you've seen that?

Henry Cavill, Idris Elba and Tom Hardy I've seen in roles that tell me would make great James Bonds. I think it would depend on the sort of Bond film you wanted to make.

If Cavill did a repeat of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. it'd be fairly light hearted (hell you could put it back in the 60s again). As Cavill is significantly the youngs of these three, you could do a Bond film of his time in the Navy.

Idris Elba I've seen comparatively serious drama roles, so I'm picturing stuff more akin to Casino Royale in terms of seriousness.

Tom Hardy I could see in virtually in any form of Bond.

Rumours are that Daniel Craig has signed on to do some new US TV show and as a result the chances of him becoming 007 are very slim.

Personally would like to see either Tom Hardy or Idris Elba take on the role. Both exceptional actors who would do well.

Someone suave, gentlemanly and in good humour... Basically anyone who can reincarnate Roger Moore's James Bond (he was the best imo)
Nah, Sean Connery all the way

I think Sean Connery was better as an "old", Bond in Never Say Never Again than Moore was in his last couple of films

I agree with you there, Octopussy and For Your Eyes Only weren't that great. However Live and Let Die was brilliant. For me, Sean Connery's Bond films from the third one were his best, as that was the time when Albert Broccoli had decided on what type/style of film he wanted to create (ie, 'tongue in cheek' and humorous) if you see what I mean

igy, I find Daniel Craig too humourless and dramatic for Bond, he's not got that little cheesy humour that Connery and Moore had

Finally someone who feels the same way about Daniel Craig - his Bond films are too serious and lack any humour what so ever. I don't even understand where the plot is going most of the time. I loved that Connery's and Moore's films were so cheesy, humourous and had relatively simple plot lines that were easy to understand/follow

You can't really compare the Bond's. Each brought something different to the scene and Daniel Craig was very good.

Apart from QoS. All the others were pretty good. Especially Casino Royale.

I think finding a bond now that matches the Connery/Moore type will be pretty much impossible cause the only sort of actors being suggested for the role are too dramatic and are gonna be too similar to Daniel Craig. I guess that's the sort of thing that gets box office hits now though

Looking at the suggestions for the pole unfortunately that seems to be the case. Films now tend to be too serious/boring or just completely stupid (with a few exceptions). Its a shame that they changed the style of them really - I really cant get into the newer Bond films
