I haven't had chance to check yet, but I get sqrt(3) for the length...
I think I got root 3 too, I cannot find my solution at the moment

Oh that's good to know. It was quite a long question so I could latex a solution but it would take a while. It's a shame intrinsic coordinates are no longer on the syllabus. I find these questions rather interesting. At one time it even came up on pure papers (FP3, I think?) and there's a few interesting questions on the old S-Papers from the 90s.

How do you do these? Are you a wizard?

My estimation of A Slice of Pi after these 2 question has risen massively !!!
post a photo of your solution tomorrow evening as some people want to try it

We shall let his handwriting be the judge of that
8. I wish I could do these questions, need to do M4/M5...

Why do you guys all do M4/M5, just for pleasure or additional further math?
9. (Original post by TeeEm)
PS
Need your help ...Is it a Binet equation again?...or is it angular momentum?

I really am! I'm just very interested in concepts beyond the specification. I'm doing my A2 Further this year (Year 13) and I'm doing the M3-5 units. Unfortunately, intrinsic is no longer on it, but polar coordinates are.

Damn I'm really impressed! Going past M5 - that's insane

What're you applying for at uni?

Maths, of course! If I hadn't applied for maths, then I'd probably choose physics.

Sounds good! Have you made your firm/insurance?

Well, I've got an AAA offer for the maths course I wanted and similar offers from a couple of other universities. Are you an A-Level student?

Have you got any offers from your first choice?

My top choice was in the US but I got rejected there So I'm currently waiting for a decision from my 2nd choice. Otherwise I'll most likely be heading there anyway to another uni. Not too keen on university in the UK

Any thoughts ?
Anyone brave ?
I think this is as hard as it gets

Looks like Binet's equation

On a serious note, is this old edexcel spec M6? If so I wanna get the textbook so I can tackle this bad-boy
