    Paddle with your hands.

    1) Youd need some muscular hands!
    2) Against a perpendicular current?
    3) With zombies that may or may not be feelin peckish?

Tbf I asked an unreasonable question so an unreasonable answer is justified...

You pick the human that is the strongest swimmer to swim across the river and the 2 other humans use the boat. Who gives a pumpkin about the zombies?
    I do... :cry2:

wont the zombies eat the humans anyways?

also its just a boat, no paddle and no horizontal current its impossible to get to the other side!!!

also that boar can clearly take more than 2, just get a little personal and Im sure they'll fit

and yes Im picking at plot holes because I'm not clever enough to answer it properly xD
You'll just have to take it up with whoever came up with the puzzle

    1) If it's a light boat then it's not that hard.
    2) Yeah it would only work if there is no or only a weak perpendicular current.
    3) Friendly zombies?

To be fair it should be called TPR no TSR

Is the "you" an active participant counting as a being (and are they additional or part of one of the groups), and is that "you" a zombie or a human?
The 'you' is basically someone who, somehow, has control over the humans and zombies by the river, but 'you' don't do anything else.

And I don't count as one of the beings in the boat?

I assume you can't push the boat back?

Then move one zombie and one human across. Zombie rows back.
Always keep one zombie in the boat as the driver and alternate ferrying zombies and humans across until there are none left on the first side.
Move the ferry zombie off the boat onto the second side.
But as soon as the zombie rows, back, there'll be more zombies than humans on the more populated side of the river.

    3) Friendly zombies?

    1) average pontoon boat weight is equal to 998 kilos, using mechanics from A level maths and assuming 0 for the coefficient of friction the total mass per hand ratio is way too high for that situation to be plausible :holmes:

    2) Lower tier river discharge amounts are around 2000m cubed per second at a perpendicular angle assuming constant temp/density/pressure, the current factor would be too large for that situation to be plausible :holmes:

    3) Im a true optimist when you get to know me (despite this post) but frindly zombies is more likely than Trump

giving an individual house and car and private plane to every mexican and muslim :holmes:

    Nope.
Okay fine, then yes I could answer this as it is a variant on a theme that I am well acquainted with but I CBA to write out the steps.

Needless to say the trick is to remember that you can bring back either one or two beings for each return trip.

Let one of the zombies take the boat, so you have on one side 3 humans, 2 zombies. Now transport the first human to the other side.

On one side, there's just 1 human. On the other there's 2 humans 2 zombies. Let the same zombie come back, and this time let them take a zombie.

So now there's 1 human and 1 zombie on one side, and 2 humans and 1 zombie on the other. Now take a human.

2 humans and 1 zombie on 1 side, and 1 human and 1 zombie on the other. Take the zombie over.

Then take the human over. Then the original zombie steering the boat can jump off.
If you have only one zombie on the boat, who will steer the boat back? (I think there's only one thing you have to change)
