    It has an optional placement year which I start this July

    In my third year I'll be studying:

    1 Department of Economics module (counts as 2 units) to do with Econometrics, from what I understand it's a lot of applied stats )

    2 Department of Education modules (One to do with teaching in practice and to learn things about the curriculum at secondary school, the other to do with issues in science education in primary/secondary schools)

    Japanese as an optional unit (free to study, doesn't count towards my degree :emo:)

    Then some interesting areas of maths like medical statistics, optimisation of operational research, markov processes and applications (+ their applications to finance later on) as well as studying Graphs and Networks (stuff you come across in D1, but at university level).

    So many interesting things to study and the city/uni is a lovely place to be.
