Thought it was okay. I did the pure Aeneid question for section b though and that wasn't as straightforward as I thought- I just hope I didn't go off topic as much as I think I did! How about you?

Yeah I did that one because I couldn't immediately think of a counter argument for question 3! Yeah I did the dido one and thought it was okay let's just hope the essays were better than we thought!

I thought that Dido passage was sneaky af, especially with the 2nd question because I found it really hard to use the passage for leadership. The essays were alright, but I did the heroism one. Did people separate the concepts of self-sacrifice and suffering or sort of clump them into one? And did people talk about Turnus and Hector too?

Yeah I didn't refer much to the passage for 1b, and 3 was oddly worded so did suffering/heroism but I think it was an ok paper!

Yeah I so i seperated the values, e.g. self sacrifice was aeneas moving on from dido against his will, yet an example of suffering was the storm in book 1.

I did hektor, achilles, priam, aeneas, turnus, mezentius and lausus

I also threaded the idea of a homeric and roman hero throughout, as they are different and worth mentioning

For the leadership question I discussed how Aeneas gradually shows leadership as the epic goes on (discussing the examples) I then used bits of the passage that show how at that point he's not really showing the leadership we see later on in the book, for example when the oldest of them all was the one to address Dido, not Aeneas himself, I then explored how maybe this is Virgil showing that good leadership comes with time, hope it was right!
