If a grip doesnt do it then wedge it in a cupboard door so you can apply pressure to the side of the lid. If you slide the door into the lid, it should buckle the lid slightly, which will release the pressure and then it will be easy to open. Obviously not too hard as its glass. Alternatively pierce the lid, but then youve lost your airtight seal.

I liked the dip the lid in hotwater version as well.

Men of the world... if you're ever feeling useless, unneeded or redundant, find a sealed jar and give it to a woman.
Well I opened it in the end.

Anyway, come over tomorrow so that you can put up my new bookshelf

Sorry you're right, I shouldn't judge. Not everyone's life is as interesting as mine

I'm not a certain Indian doctor on here :ninja:

btw next time you can't open a jar, run it under hot water. The metal in the lid will expand more then the glass and it should be easier to open, cus science n ****

In fact, this is how my parents met. She was a damsel in distress (was moving house and the moving company bailed) so her friend called him up and he moved her in and put up shelves - paid for by just teas, apparently...

I never did believe that story, realising my birth was around a year later :erm:
