    McGregor a GOAT, really?
He beat the featherweight GOAT in 13 seconds when he was the P4P king. So IMO he is.

That's not really how GOAT works.

Well why is he not one of the greatest of all time then?

    Never defended his belt.
Beat one truly elite guy (not on short notice)

He maybe could be one day, but you don't just absorb someone's goat status by beating them, especially not in a sport as volatile as MMA.
He'll be a Hall of Famer and is one of the biggest stars undoubtedly but GOAT, no.
His accomplishments haven't touched GSP, Aldo, Jones, Silva, Fedor or even Mighty Mouse.
Take the spectacle out of it and he's probably sitting on Anthony Pettis level of accomplishment, but even he defended his belt.

Been reported by the Mirror and Bleacher Report so it's definitely happening...
I love how this was glossed over. Would rep.

I agree with everything said I got carried away because I genuinely thought Aldo would last longer than that but I don't really see any challenges at featherweight and see that being a lightweight would be even better for him. Essentially, I think he will one day be considered a GOAT, although he ain't one now, because he alongside Jone Jones and Rockhold actually have the ability in my eyes to be dual weight champs.

Often, I tend to overpraise fighters I followed for a long time or who I have been with since their early careers like Rory, McGregor, Alvarez, Wonderboy, Rockhold, DC, Cejudo and a few more I can't think of right now because I feel like I know them. Weird, I know but yeah I should have said future Hall of Famer I guess.

Fair enough. Unfortunately, since moving up in weight + IV ban + the death of his teammates opponent, I don't think he'll ever go back down to 145lb.
But when his game is built around using his reach advantage to force counters, he may not be as successful at LW. Although he did fight one of the rangiest fighters in the division with one of the best chins, so a tough measuring tool.

At Mcgregors request, a reasoning still alien to me. Trying to lose that muscle mass at the wrong side of 20 to get back down to 145 isn't going to end well, I don't think.

It will never happen, but as Mayweather beats him very easily if they just box, but at some point McGregor gets frustrated and takes him to the floor and pounds him.

Definitely worth getting disqualified for that!

What about other equivalent match ups? Bruce Lee vs Manny Pacquiao
