Well tell that to all the girls who still experience comments over them being girl gamers. Just because it doesn't affect you, doesn't mean others aren't affected. A problems a problem, no matter how small.

Lmao mute them
How does it even effect you, do you triggered over it?

Really? Perhaps they should grow up. They're obviously insecure about themselves if being called their own gender on a game affects them. And if it does affect them so horrendously, turn the game off, walk away, go outside.

Isn't it funny? :colondollar: These games come with mute and block features for a reason, these girls who cry over being called "gamer girls" probably don't block these guys for the extra attention they give them :L

Quite a few female LoL streamers constantly cry on stream over being called a girl or being bad at the game, when all they do is point a webcam at their cleavage and ask for donations :s-smilie:

Haha i think that's exactly the case. They want the validation they get, but then also want the attention throwing their toys out the pram brings them.

Have you seen that article about that woman who claimed to have PTSD because of mean comments towards her while playing GTA online?
You can't make this stuff up lol

Why should they have to come off the game? Anyway this has got too deep 😂 I was only saying how girl gamers are SOMETIMES criticised for being girl gamers, that's all
About 35% of players in WOW are female, so thats about 2.5 -3.5m females depending on what part of the lifecycle its at. If they are good enough they earn their place and their are lots of objective meters that measure aspects of performance.
Girls and women who play video games are not *girl gamers*, you wouldn't call a boy or man who plays video games a *boy gamer*. They're simply gamers and anyone with any decent sense of maturity recognises this.

That being said the term *girl gamer* often applies to girls who take pictures in a semi-pornographic (if not a fully pornogrpahic matter) for either attention, modelling or media purposes. "Oh look I game, but I'm a girl! Look how unique and quirky I am".... yeah I don't care, I'm going back to Dark Souls.

Yeah I get what you mean
I'm one of two girls in my year who own an Xbox and both of us mainly play Assassins Creed games. I really love Syndicate and am quite good at the AC games as I find I'm more observant than guys and also don't go in all guns blazing when playing COD and such, often sneaking in kills and such. Of course some guys say I only do it for attention but I really enjoy playing AC and RPGs though I would like some other games not just aimed at a mainly male demographic. (Then again I do have Zoo Tycoon and Lego Jurrassic World for my Xbox One)
I've never been criticised by a guy for playing games. It usually girls that do the criticising. They say you only play games to impress guys or that you aren't a true gamer unless you play famous modern games like COD, Fallout. Guys have either been neutral or happy that I play games and treat me like one of the guys - they don't take it easy on me, especially not on UT2004

I play LoL and nobody in my team/enemy team knows what's my gender, I don't have girly name, and therefore I never get critised or praised for being girl computer game player.

I don't do it because I don't want:
1)unwanted attention
2)more unwanted attention

Tbh it depends on individual, if you are average player, there is no point to shoving it into guys face saying you are a girl.

Also, whenever I get asked what are my hobbies I honestly say, video games, and I never had any problems with it.
Yeah, I get what you are saying about the term "girl gamer" but for the purpose of the question I had to distinguish that it was about girls on games
There is always going to people people like that :/ just gotta mute them
I think the reason boys are like "omg ur so good for a girl lmao etc etc" is because they're in a sense tryna pull, like when they say that 90% of the time they're hoping that you'll answer back with a "aww thank you x" (or something along the lines of that)

Yeah I guess :/ and it makes it all the better when you play better than them and prove being a girl doesn't matter

Also vice versa, there's been boys better than girls too XD

I think the level between professional male and female players are the same tbh, just you see more of the males
