Really? I thought it wasn't too bad. I think I wrote briefly about 3G and Wi-Fi as well as Teleworking and a few other things I can't really remember haha!
I think i went off topic talking about increased bandwidth giving better internet connection and mobile phones having better processors and touch screens being able to do more online lol, i think i had something relevant in their like better telecommunications links from better internet

I didnt see it in the spec or the revision guide but had it in my notes but didnt bother learning it as my teacher gives us quite alot of irrelevant info so i didnt think it was important

Thanks! I'll take a look over that tomorrow morning. Good luck to you too, I'll talk to you after the exam
How'd it go? I forgot really obvious stuff though like RAM and ROM that I remembered walking out the exam and it really pissed me off. I think that I did really well on the 12mark and the 6markers though. not quite too sure whever I answered the question on social media and other websites question well though

Multiple choice questions were simple, so was the last table.

I messed up a few of the 6 markers however: Didn't talk about ADC in the sensor question. Didn't know what to write about card fraud so I just said about the fact personal information is being stored online so the banks will have to protect the data and employ specialist employees for security and up-dating security for the customer's safety.

Placing a movie on their website? Wtf, I said that it should be centre aligned and professionally positioned to appeal to the users and spacers should be used to not add clutter. Some questions had me clueless.

All in all, not too worried. I got 55% / 60% in my course work so i'm pretty sure I can achieve a pretty solid B even if I did tragically bad which I doubt I did.

Anyone doing the GCSE ICT full course exam with CCEA on Wednesday? Any predictions?
Just curious but I done the exam last year and was wondering was it difficult or not? It seemed to be the longest paper ever. By the way don't worry too much about the exam, as long as you got a really good coursework grade you will be okay

I thought that question was great! I talked about teleworking, e-commerce, VOIP, email and something else I can't remember lol.

Personally I thought it was easier that the 2015 paper (we did it for our mock) but a lot of my friends said they found it really difficult. There were a LOT more 6 markers on it this year, I think there were 7 or 8 of them. Also there was a lot on spreadsheets and processing data/feedback and surprisingly a lot on gaming. I have the full 60% in my coursework so I hope I've scraped an A* overall!

For the movie on the website I wrote that it would take a long time to upload and that the web page would be slow to load or something. That's not exactly advice but I honestly don't know what I was supposed to write about haha.

Yeah I was so happy I remembered ROM and RAM haha. Had to guess quite a few but overall I think I did fine.

I don't think it really specified. It seemed a broad question for 6 marks, it was more the kind of thing you'd write a really long essay on I thought.

That's good I got around the same on my coursework last year but I got a high B on the exam and just missed out on an A*,

I believe that I have nearly full marks in my coursework as well... Do you know what percentage I would have to get on the exam to achieve an A?

And i was surprised that there was so many 6 mark questions on this paper :/

Quote me if i'm wrong, my maths may be completely flawed here because my head is fried - but the grade boundaries are typically 90 A*, 80 A, 70 B, 60 C I have been told.

So that means if you get 50% on the exam, (90/180 = 0.5 x 40 = 20%) that's an extra 20% which brings you to 80%. I think you're pretty safe if I am not mistaken.

Yea i think it should have been specified more, we didnt have anythig about that in notes, we only had details about the hardware and software required and it wasnt what the question was asking i dont think
