    I thought it was 4Fe because only gases can exist as diatomic molecules and Iron on its own isn't a gas... am I wrong..?

    Has anyone posted a unofficial mark scheme yet? As far as I am aware, 4Fe is the same as 2Fe2. You could have eithe answer

    It was 4Fe as Iron isn't diatomic and you can't add small numbers only big ones

    It was 4Fe in the products because iron is not diatomic as it has a full outer shell so it doesnt need to go around in twos, if that made any sense x
