    This is about the type of reaction between sulphuric acid and glucose, it just says exothermic

    I'm pretty sure it just said 'what is this reaction called?' or at least something very similar - I just put dehydration because sulphuric acid removes the water from substances but I could be wrong.

    It was addition because it was an alkene that was polymerised, so no small molecules were created. What did you get for the empricial formula?
