How did you guys find unit 2 today? I thought it went really went to be honest - the 6 mark q was very nice!

It asked about why resistance increases with temperature and voltage. I linked it to the I=nAve formula and R=V/I - I agree the paper was slightly different to past papers (in the way they asked things) , but the concepts were pretty much identical

Question 2(a) Baryon = 3 quarks, meson = quark-antiquark pair.(b) (I) UU* or dd*(ii) x must be a proton for the conservation of quark number and charge.(iii) Lepton number is conserved as there are no leptons on either side of the equation.(c) It must be the strong force because it is caused by the interaction between quarks, no leptons are involved, so it is not the weak force, gravity is too weak a force.

Question 3(a)(I) L T = W = 290x10^-9 X 10000 = 2.9 x 10^-3 L T = W = 400x10^-9 X 7250 = 2.9 x 10^-3(ii) Sirius A would appear bluer as it is emitting a more intense spectrum at the shorter wavelengths of visible light.(b)(I) P = sAT^4Psa = 5.67x10^-8 x 4 x 3.14 x (1.19x10^9)^2 =Psa = 4.86x10^30Pc = 5.67x1-^-8 x 4 3.14 x (4.97x10^10)^2 =Pc = 1 x 10^28Psa / Pc = 482(ii)d1^2/d2^2 = I2 / I1I2 = d1^2 x I1 / d2^2 (1.19x10^9)^2 X (5.67x10^8)/ (8.15x10^16+1.19x10^9)^2I2 = 1.2x10^-7 Wm^-2 (I think)

Do you have the paper for unit 1?! How can you remember all this???
