Black Wednesday paved the way for that shift of policy and subsequent revival, so was arguably a good thing. It was only 1 year into his premiership as well. He definitely left the country in a better financial position than when he entered downing street.Last edited by meenu89; 02-06-2016 at 19:41.

I'm shocked how many votes Cameron has garnered. Even though i like the guy i find him utterly average when compared against all prior prime ministers.
My pick is Major. When taking an overall view and putting aside single events (Thatcher had the poll tax, Blair had Iraq) i find that on the two biggest issues (economy and foreign policy) he was pretty successful.Last edited by Rakas21; 02-06-2016 at 22:45.

I think Major is an unsung hero of politics, a great leader in his own right and definitely so when you look at the circumstances under which he had to govern. Unfortunately I did pick Blair because although Iraq is what most people will remember him for, he did vastly improve public services and the constitution.
