Lol firstly I have the exact same handwriting and I got good grades at GCSE so you'll be fine.
What I found out about myself was that I had so many ideas to write down that I ended up rushing and my handwriting looked like an ant literally crawled across my page. So to combat this I plan all my essays in advance and if I don't know what's coming up, I simply write mini bullet points of the stuff that could come up i.e characters, themes, alternative interpretations blah blah and kinda memorise that.

And also instead of writing all my ideas, I discriminate and instead use the most relevant quotes/ sources/ ideas. This not only calms me down during the exams but I feel it helps to make links in my writing thus making my work look more advanced. This really helped in stuff like History and English which I ended up getting A*s in. Idk this might help you too

Plus I think ambiguity in your handwriting actually helps , like is that an a or an e, who knows, who cares, the examiner is just going to skim read it anyway haha

I have god-awful handwriting. Usually I make an effort to slow it down and be legible near the start of the exam but soon descend into relaxed scrawl as it's difficult to concentrate both on the question and manner of writing. I can look back at it and be barely able to read it myself, and it never seems to have hurt my marks in anything.
I also cross out loads of things and cram things into small spaces (giggity) to make it even harder for the examiner, but they seem to manage it..
