I can't deal with all the gender labels it's all too much and people who over-use the term cultural appropriation. These are all first world problems.

But cultural appropriation is a real thing and a trend

Some people over use it. For example, anyone should be allowed to wear their hair in dreadlocks regardless of their race.

It does become an issue when a culture gets mocked, hijacked and becomes a trend.

Isn't fussing about "Cultural Appropriation" basically admitting that multiculturalism cannot work?

Multiculturalism does not work on a mass scale.
Hence why we have segregated communities in London

I know, gays and others have it much, much worse, especially outside the Western world

But in the west, the struggle is not comparable

    People crying about cultural appropriation

People making up wacky and new genders and expecting people to use new pronouns.

"Hate speech is not freedom of speech" yes. yes it is.

Safe spaces, get your bloody head out the ground and join the real world. just because someone challenged your opinion you feel you need to run away. Your house or room is safe space already.

"You cant be racist to white people" Yes you can.

Still blaming white people today for slavery.

    communism/socialism.

    the stupid anti rape seminars.

making up stuff like gender pay gap
I guess just about all of it then.

Mocking is wrong but dreadlocks isn't specified to a specific culture. Wearing dreadlocks has been around for ages it's not a recent "trend". Everyone is entitled to wear their hair as they like regardless if it has links to a specified culture. You can't police people's hairstyles. I rest my case. I have nothing else to add or care to add.

ok... Cultural appropriation is a bit more complex than that, this is why people don't realise that it kinda is an issue.
I agree that people are slightly doing too much with it though.

I can police peoples hairstyles, as if I were an employer, I can demand that my employers have a certain hairstyle

That's at work though. You can't force people to remove their dreadlocks for example or in public. Anyway I still stand by my original point. The term has been over used. I guess that's the final point I'll add.

I'm just reminding people of the unwritten Community Guidelines, I don't want this thread binned
I really hope there is an element of sarcasm to that, like John Cleese “You can't make jokes about muslims
    because they will kill you”

If not, then why is it specifically Islam that you can't make negative posts about? Surely it should be all goes free speech or not offending anyone?
