My exercise books contain jottings of information with no context and won't make much sense to anyone other than myself. My dad was a firefighter so yes, I am very aware of the dangers. Thanks.
It doesn't matter if your dad was a firefighter. You aren't. My dad is a firefighter and he's been called out to so many fires where kids have been seriously injured doing crap like this. Even when they think they know what they're doing. Just recycle the paper or something. There's plenty of places to do that. Just please have the sense not to. It's safer, and like so many people have said it's just kinda disrespectful to burn books. Just because others are planning to do it/have done, it doesn't mean it's a good idea or that you should. Be the sensible one. It's not gonna be a 'Skins' moment where your teenage rebellion floods out into the world through your pores drowning out all the sound around you apart from some old punk song in the background as you spin around in slow motion with your hair flowing behind you. All you'll remember from it is being cold, not being able to keep the fire lit properly, and it being completely underwhelming. Another thing I learned from camping with friends, by the way, is even if you are responsible around fire it doesn't stop other people throwing dangerous things onto fire and trying to set alight to the grass to spell their names.

I don't really understand why people burn it. It just seems like a waste. Will you need it again? Probably not.
Something's just need to be out of some peoples' lives... One guy I know torched his cancer and immunology lectures the day results came out because of the mental pain they'd caused him...

PS he smashed those modules, must've studied that ATM/P53/MDM2/CHK2 harddd whilst those lectures still lived )))

You may want to keep your books in case your younger siblings/cousins are sitting GCSEs under the same syllabuses next year, which I'm sure they would appreciate!
As much as I fantasised about burning my books, I don't really want to be held accountable for polluting the environment!
