I don't have a favorite. The only pieces I like having are my opponents.

Apparently I'm the only one who likes the rook/tower. I feel they have a dominant-sort of presence in the game

If I recall correctly when asked this question most top players said the rooks. They are especially dominant/significant in the endgame (if they remain, that is..)

The queen because they are powerful! I also like the horse one ( don't know the proper name) because they can move even with other pieces in the way.

I bet your favourite is the Queen. #feminism.
    Obvs.

Someone called me a rabid feminist the other day. I found it hard to stop laughing.

The King! Because he is the most important piece, similar to Chris Froome during the tour de France - everyone sacrifices themselves so he can survive!

Either Knight cos of the sneaky stuff it does, or the Rook cos it can shut down a whole row at a time

I'm torn between the knight and bishop. Both are really useful for cornering opponents. The rook's pretty nifty too.

Definitely the knight. He's the troll of the chessboard. The queen is powerful and versatile but always seems to be the first target for me, and is therefore a bit of a burden.

The Knight is definitely the most beautiful piece when stylised like this

But my favourite to use is the Rook.
