Exactly, it represents a country. You know, the one we happen to be in and from....

Why bother taking them down when they cause no problems. Just wastes time and energy, it's stupid. God even the TSR team are biased....
Biased towards sticking to the rules.

Not literally a rule though, or at least shouldn't be. I hate how modern England doesn't really care about England.

It represents a geo-political area. What's wrong with taking the flags down for a few hours? Or just moving them somewhere else for a bit?

Blame the extreme right wing scum like Britain first and edl for sabotaging the English flag and turning it into a symbol of extreme nationalism to many, rather than national pride

There are strict laws around what you can say, do or display at polling stations. The fact the flags were there for football doesn't matter. If they could be seen to influence voters or make voters feel pressured or intimidated into voting a certain way then they have to be removed.

This is one of many reasons why i spoilt my ballot paper - it pains me to see the far lefts getting as pathetic as the far rights.

This country is ****ed no matter what happens anyways. I really cant wait to leave this crazy island .

And if there'd been a polling station decorated with EU flags, the Leave camp would've accepted it without a fuss right?
    (Original post by ByEeek)
Presumibly if EU flags had been flying you would be demanding their removal. On this particular issue it makes perfect sense. After all UK law states that campaigning is not allowed on polling day and that includes flags.
Never realised the EU were currently competing in Euro 2016.............

A British flag doesn't mean you support Brexit, this is nasty and offensive. I voted Remain and I think it is better for most people, but that doesn't mean I hate this country
it wasn't about the British flag. it was about the English flag.

I don't recognise it as a political symbol.
    you are a fool then.
