Do you have a source that says fewer people spend money?*
IF you have less immigration, that would mean fewer people, is that hard to understand?

Not necessarily? Hello some parts of the UK are overcrowded and letting immigrants go will relieve pressure of hospitals, housing ect and less competition so British people have to the priority. Immigrants only come here because they are economically cheaper. If the government makes jobs look more attractive and increase pay, there won't be many people on benefits jsa.*

But how would you increase pay if there are fewer people spending money?
Your understanding is flawed. immigration is only one factor in how prosperous a nation might be. We could learn to be more productive and export more.

The living wage was always a farce. As wages go up, so do prices to accommodate the new money. Its called inflation. In my opinion, the only thing that will make a real difference to people in this country is for the cost of housing to stabilise and gradually over time go down in relation to wages. Absolutely everything in everyday people's lives hinges on the cost of housing be that mortgages or rent.
I agree - and those in office are not looking at the housing issue from the perspective of those that don't own, housing policy is designed to promote the interests (and win the votes) of those that do own.

Especially in a difficult economic time when wages are flatlining, the way most peoples actual material circumstances will increase is through an increase in the value of their property or if they are a landlord, in the rate at which rents rise. Although wages have been fairly flat, rents have risen quickly and enabled incomes to rise for landlords.

I am sure every country would like its workers to be more productive but Britain is the least productive of the G7 countries behind Spain, France, Germany, US and Italy and it has been for a long time.

Immigrants earn more on average than the natives so reducing immigration would make Britain even less productive than it is now which means wages will drop further.

You arent listening to what I old you which is your analysis is faulty. theres a difference between a factor such as influencing a situation, but it will be one of many. You need to look at the whole picture, its a lot more complex with many more factors than you are considering,.
