Haha, my dad used to have some rather creative ones - a favourite character of his was the 'Socky Monster' (literally the sock off his foot, which he put on his hand to scare me, lol).

My mom came up with altogether more cautionary tales, which were sometimes a bit scary, but always had a moral lesson! Like for instance the one about what happened to children who played on the windowsill. True to form, I never played on the windowsill again.


My mother's stories never had any morals. My mother also had fairy tales from around the world and even a book full of celtic ones.

hehe...everyone does that when the book appears thick and the story long..once my bro said: this story changes each time! :redface:
Why is everybody proud of the fact they're lazy and bad with children? I hope you'd read an entire story to your children! :eek:
