Thinking is about the same speed for both (or at least I can't notice a lag), the only difference between the two languages I have in terms of speed is I can't write Chinese characters as fast as I can write English.

Not usually but if I've been in another country recently sometimes the odd word from the local language will pop into my head.

I would have thought your English would be your stronger language, so you could think faster in English than in Mandarin?
