Agreed that the internet is making the world a smaller place. But as a 35 year old i have seen a lot. And things are objectively getting worse, in my life time anyway!?
That's still young, but you should be old enough to realise by now. The longer you live, the worse it'll seem as more conflicts around the world are exposed. Perhaps you'll notice a pattern after another 35 years. It also doesn't help that we have a thirst for the negative and misery of others, and the media does an excellent job of exploiting our psychology in this - it's in their best interest. On the flip side of the scientific and technological advancements, there's probably as much good in the world too, but people tend to focus on what reinforces their fears more often than not.

Humans have always been a disgusting species. Just look at the way they treat animals yet think they're some kind of special creature. **** them.

You two need to wake up i'm afraid. Things are bad now, and getting worse everyday!
In the aggregate, the world is becoming a better place. Some places are doomed, they aren't our problem.
