Yes way. It's one of the top in the country for A-Levels according to BBC...

And I don't get how MGS comes 3rd in the FT list...Man High and Withington are better, and that's just in Manchester. I'm not putting MGS down-it's a great school, but hey.
    because we do better A-levels
    nah I dunno either

Lol :P Do any of your amazing schools offer DT: Systems and Control A level.

Going to such top schools, dont you ever feel what it would be like to socialise and learn with less academic people more often?

Im in classes where a lot of people get Us and Es. Must be weird where everyone gets As

i remember in the national finals for young enterprise i spoke to a girl who said she was so dissapointed she got 90% in her AS Levels.......

I think i understand why now.

no. closest thing to that is probably art.
lol mate.. we are normal people, there are only a few people that are disappointed with 90% at AS.
As for socialising with less academic people you realise we don't stay at school all the time right? :p:
Also, there's a few hmm "less-able" people here anyway.

7 As?? Nobody even does 7 A-Levels! Normal Max is 5, inc General Studies. And I've looked and there are schools with 1250+...I wonder what they get...

I do... some other classmates do 8/9. (And I do realise this is not GCSE! Crazy people!)

But we usually do 1/2/3 A-levels early.

I’ve not done AS/A-Levels yet, but the school I would have gone to had I not moved to France (meaning I’d have finished my A-Levels by now) has a score of 953, although the place I’m now going to (since I’m not moving back to the same place) only has a score of 488.7 – they also do a lot of vocational courses, mind you.

It’s not fair that private schools are in the same table with normal schools

Why? A private school doesn’t always score better than a state or state non-grammar. In Suffolk, for example, the four best schools are state non-grammar schools.

That is quite amazing because those schools are not selective and they are achieving scores in the 900s.

In year 12, so don't know any results except from AS maths, got an A. After the June exams I think I just might live up to my school's average!
