It's great isn't it? reminds me of simpler times
I can't thank you enough for posting that, I forgot all about it. Oh my gosh I can't stop smiling :ahee:!

    I love this part too

Pussy said to the Owl, “You elegant fowl!
    How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?”

Not a poem per se, lyrics from five for fighting - nobody
    still, I love it

Take off your shoes... Take off yourself
Take off your rented mental health
Take off your raincoat... settle down
Take off your nightmare and your frown

If you're not here to hear me scream
Am I silent like a dream
Where all the dragons are my friends
Each night we meet our bitter ends
Do I need you to make me real
Like Wheeler spinning his own wheel
    Quantum strings within my brain
    Popping sanities insane.

Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage [There is a pleasure in the pathless woods] ~ Lord Byron

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar:
I love not Man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal.

Roll on, thou deep and dark blue Ocean--roll!
    Ten thousand fleets sweep over thee in vain;
Man marks the earth with ruin--his control
Stops with the shore;--upon the watery plain
The wrecks are all thy deed, nor doth remain
A shadow of man’s ravage, save his own,
When for a moment, like a drop of rain,
He sinks into thy depths with bubbling groan,
Without a grave, unknelled, uncoffined, and unknown.

His steps are not upon thy paths,--thy fields
Are not a spoil for him,--thou dost arise
And shake him from thee; the vile strength he wields
For earth’s destruction thou dost all despise,
Spurning him from thy bosom to the skies,
And send’st him, shivering in thy playful spray
And howling, to his gods, where haply lies
His petty hope in some near port or bay,
And dashest him again to earth: —there let him lay.

    (The title is lame)

    The road seems long
    The journey arduous
    Trudging on and on
    Lacking vigor and purpose

    Friendly and social
Like a villain, just a mask
At times, wishing someone knew the truth
At others, praying you're never asked

    An endless wait,
The smallest speck of light holds the greatest hope
    Trust misplaced, truth displaced,
Back to square one, struggling to cope

    Ending it all seems good
    But that would mean resignation
Submission, a puppet in the hands of torment
    Giving those terrible thoughts permission

    To walk over you,
    Into pieces to shatter
    The mornings of resolve,
Aft nights of letting them fester

    You're not alone
Far from it, join scores of others
Who smile and laugh, not necessarily to hide
Instead, for the dozen days of joy for each night of distress.
