Moving into halls without my parents and no car? Watch

    be strategic about what you take in terms of clothes/personal items, if you get a large rucksack (say 70-90l or something) and a large suitcase you could manage both of those on the train well, leave anything large and bulky for when you get there, you can order things to be delivered to your halls or you can just suck it up and take a taxi home for one trip (if you get everything in one place you could take a shopping trolley to the taxi and get home in one trip)

    you could look at paying someone to ship/post your stuff to your uni but you will be paying a lot more and to be honest I think you will be fine managing on what I said above - most people bring way too much to uni, it's just more stuff to try and keep tidy and store etc
